GameWarden collects the data below to operate licensing, the MyGW dashboard, in-game anti-cheat, Admin-X, support, and abuse prevention. We do not sell personal data. Where a category does not apply to you (for example, you only play in a licensed game and never register), only the relevant rows apply.
Discord user ID, Discord username, and Discord avatar URL (via OAuth); website session identifier (cookie); last login time; optional linked Roblox user ID and Roblox username when you connect Roblox to your account. We do not store your Discord password. We do not read your private Discord messages except where you voluntarily send content through our support chat or Discord bot features you initiate.
License public key and hashed key; plan type; license status (active, bound, expired, revoked); Roblox universe (game) ID and place ID(s) tied to your license; child place IDs you register; collaborator Discord user IDs and workspace roles/permissions you assign; per-game anti-cheat and Admin-X settings (including suspicion thresholds, role command/UI permissions, enabled checks, studio overrides, fun/additional command opt-ins); Discord webhook URLs and related webhook configuration you save; optional global ban sharing preference; custom execution behaviour (protocol mode or Lua script text you save); ban appeal settings; announcements and in-game notice text you configure; records/notes you add about players; staff roster entries (Roblox user IDs and Discord IDs you designate).
Email address and purchase metadata provided by our payment processor (transaction references, amounts, timestamps). Full payment card numbers are processed and stored only by the payment provider, not by GameWarden.
Roblox user ID, username, and display name on join, leave, and during detections/bans; cached Roblox profile data (username, display name, avatar image URL from Roblox APIs); session start/end times and session duration; place ID and server job ID for the session; license/public key associated with the experience.
Periodic server heartbeats from licensed experiences: player count, server uptime, place ID, job ID, and a player list that may include per-player network statistics (for example average ping, peak ping, jitter, spike counts), approximate country/region code from Roblox localization services, and optional client-reported attributes such as FPS when exposed by the game. Used for dashboard live view, diagnostics, and anti-abuse.
Detection events: cheat/check labels, confidence or severity, action taken (flag, kick, ban), timestamps, and structured detail payloads (JSON) describing what the check observed; client-side check signals where enabled; manual staff actions logged through Admin-X. Ban records: reason, duration, banning staff identifier, appealability, active status. Chat monitoring (when enabled in your experience): in-game text chat is analyzed on the game server for policy violations (cheat-related terms, links, and context scoring); matching content may be flagged, logged, or result in kicks/bans. Players may see a notice that chat is monitored.
If an experience owner enables global ban sharing, a player's Roblox user ID and associated ban metadata may be applied across other GameWarden-licensed experiences that have opted into the same program. This is disabled by default and controlled in dashboard settings.
Support tickets: your Discord ID, username, category, subject, status, and message text; file attachment metadata or URLs you upload; read/unread state; staff replies. Discord bot / hub features (when used): guild IDs, channel IDs, message IDs for verify panels or notifications you configure; OAuth state tokens during linking; cached guild member lists for Admin-X roster features (Discord user IDs, roles, display names as exposed by Discord APIs).
IP address on certain license validation requests; API authentication nonces and rate-limit counters; generic event stream records (game ID, job ID, event type, payload JSON); Admin-X audit feed entries (staff actions, timestamps, targets); account-level bans on GameWarden accounts (Discord ID, reason, category, notes). Website browser local storage (for example last-selected game in the dashboard) stays on your device; we do not receive it unless a feature explicitly syncs it to our servers.
If your GameWarden account or license is revoked for terms violations, we may retain hashed or plain identifiers (Discord ID, Roblox game ID) in a denylist to prevent repeat abuse, as described in Data Retention.
We are constantly evolving our detection methods to stay ahead of modern exploits. As part of this effort, GameWarden may collect anonymized game-state data to help train and improve our AI-driven detection models.
This data collection is entirely optional. Experience owners and developers may choose to opt in via their dashboard settings. It is disabled by default and will never be enabled without your explicit action.
When opted in, anonymized game-state snapshots may be collected, including movement data, velocity readings, and behavioral patterns. No personally identifiable player information is collected as part of this program.
This data is used solely to refine our behavioral detection logic and improve the accuracy of distinguishing between legitimate players and automated exploits. It is never sold or shared with third parties.
You may opt out at any time via your dashboard settings. Upon opting out, no further game-state data will be collected. Previously collected anonymized data may be retained as part of our training datasets but cannot be attributed back to your account.
Your data is used only for the purposes below. We do not use it for unrelated advertising profiles.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or similar commercial data buyers.
Authenticate accounts and licenses; deliver anti-cheat, dashboard, Admin-X, webhooks, and support; store your configuration and scripts; display live server and player information; enforce bans and detections you configure.
Detect license sharing, key misuse, API abuse, ban evasion, and terms violations; maintain denylist entries where applicable; validate requests from game servers.
Maintain detection accuracy and reliability; optional AI/game-state research only when you opt in (see Section 2).
Respond to lawful requests from courts or authorities where required. We will notify you when permitted by law.
We use trusted third parties to run GameWarden. They process data only as needed to provide their service to us, under contractual or platform terms.
OAuth login, API calls for avatars and guild/member data used by Admin-X, and bot messaging where you enable those features.
Platform APIs for user profile/thumbnail lookups and in-experience services (localization, networking) invoked by our server-side integration.
Checkout, invoicing, and fraud checks for purchases. Card data stays with the processor.
Servers and databases that store the categories listed in Section 1, plus content delivery (fonts, scripts) when you load our website.
When you save a Discord webhook URL, detection or ban events may be sent to that endpoint. You control the destination and are responsible for its privacy practices.
Our website uses essential cookies and similar technologies.
A session cookie keeps you signed in to MyGW after Discord OAuth. It is required for the dashboard and expires according to our session lifetime (typically up to several days while active).
The dashboard may store non-sensitive UI preferences (for example last-selected game) in your browser. This data remains on your device unless a feature sends it to our API.
We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on GameWarden properties.
Roles differ depending on how you use GameWarden.
You are responsible for telling players in your Roblox experience what you collect through GameWarden (including chat monitoring, logs, bans, network/country data, and optional global bans). Your experience privacy notice should reference this policy and Roblox's requirements. You must only enable features you are allowed to use under Roblox Terms and applicable law.
The experience owner decides to run GameWarden and which features are on. GameWarden processes your in-game data on their behalf to provide anti-cheat and moderation. Questions about a specific ban or log should go to the experience owner first; you may also contact GameWarden support for account or platform issues.
For in-game player data tied to a customer's license, GameWarden generally acts as a service provider processing data at the experience owner's direction. GameWarden remains responsible for data on its own website, billing, and platform accounts.
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to deliver the service or fulfil legal and security obligations.
Data associated with an active license is retained for the duration of your subscription and for a reasonable period after cancellation to support any outstanding queries or disputes.
If a license was revoked due to a Terms of Service violation, certain identifiers - including your Discord ID and Roblox Game ID - may be retained in a secure, hashed format to prevent future abuse of the service. This data cannot be used to identify you beyond its role in abuse prevention.
Detection logs, ban records, player sessions, heartbeats, and support history may be kept for months while your license is active and for a limited period afterward for disputes, security, and legal compliance. Exact duration may vary by data type and active investigations.
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by opening a support ticket in our official Discord server. We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe. Please note that blacklist entries resulting from a terms violation may be retained as described above, and in-game logs tied to another customer's license may require coordination with that experience owner.
As GameWarden operates within the Roblox ecosystem, we adhere to the data privacy standards set by the Roblox platform in addition to our own policy.
We encourage all users and developers to remain familiar with the Roblox Privacy Policy. Our data practices are designed to be compatible with Roblox's requirements, and we will update our practices if Roblox's standards change in ways that affect our service.
GameWarden processes Roblox player data as described in Section 1 (identifiers, sessions, detections, bans, chat monitoring where enabled, network and country telemetry, optional global bans). It is tied to the license for the experience and used for anti-cheat, moderation, dashboard display, and configured webhooks. Experience owners must disclose this to players in line with Roblox rules.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, open a support ticket in our official Discord server.
You may request a summary of the personal data we hold about you at any time.
You may request that your personal data be deleted from our active records. As noted in the Data Retention section, certain hashed identifiers may be retained for abuse prevention purposes where a terms violation occurred.
If you believe any data we hold about you is inaccurate, you may request that it be corrected.
Where data collection is based on your consent - such as the AI research opt-in - you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with privacy laws, you may have additional rights (restriction, objection, portability, complaint to a supervisory authority). Contact us via the channel below; we will respond within a reasonable time.
Players who do not hold a GameWarden account may exercise rights through the experience owner or by contacting us. We may need to verify the request with the experience owner before deleting license-scoped logs.
GameWarden is not directed at children under 13. Roblox accounts used in licensed experiences may belong to minors; in that case the experience owner and Roblox's policies govern how player data is disclosed. Parents or guardians should contact the experience owner or Roblox for player-specific requests. GameWarden account registration requires acceptance of our Terms, which require users to be at least 13.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify active users of significant changes via our official Discord server. However, it is your responsibility to review this policy periodically.
Your continued use of GameWarden after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the revised policy, you must stop using the service and cancel your subscription.
